Situated approximately 340km from Colombo, is small fishing village which is known as a surfers paradise, owing to the fact that is considered as one of the top ten surfing sports in the world. Its white sandy beaches are perfect for relaxing while its clear blue waters are ideal for underwater photography or just a relaxed swim.

This spectacular stretch of beach situated approximately 285Km from Colombo, has something to offer every traveller by catering to their every need, be it swimming and water sports, or just the need to relax and take in the sun. Given that Passikuda is bordered by a coral reef, it is the ideal location for snorkeling and scuba diving as well.

The water’s relatively shallow and a lot calmer than other locations, making this highly suited for underwater photography and swimming. While these beaches are also ideal for sunbathing, surfing ,diving and whale watching, travellers can also opt to do a small excursion to a small island located nearby called ‘Pigeon Island’ which is an island covered completely with pure white coral.
